New Year, New Beginnings

It's already mid-January, and the new year vibes' already long gone, but I guess it's better late than never to start on my 2018 "goals" (and one of that goals is to finally start my website). Ever since I decided to become a full-time freelancer back in August, I knew that I had to set-up my website but just never got around doing it (due to laziness and busy-ness hehe!). I never dreamt of being a blogger but I guess, 2018 is about new beginnings and trying out new things (cliché, I KNOW.) I'm not sure where this will take me but let's see, let's see. I do have to say, I am quite enjoying the freedom of being able to type so much here compared to Instagram (hahaha).

Okay, where do I begin... I've been thinking what I can share, and thought why not share this artwork I've done during the start of the year. Since it does encapsulate a very encouraging message and it's quite appropriate for a new year's post. I do also have a fun story to share about this piece:

I did this artwork last December 30, and thought about posting it on the 31st since the message is fitting. So comes the 31st, I posted this picture on Instagram and I kid you not, with no less than 5 minutes, I received an email from someone and they were asking if they could buy this piece of artwork. They said they wanted to feature me and my artwork and they want to make it into a poster for their lettering box. I was so stoked and excited about it that I was low-key having a giddy moment in my room, haha. BTW, this was a company based in US, so like yeah.. it's a pretty BIG DEAL for me. Surprisingly, this post also received a lot of likes compared to my other ones so it was a pretty good start to the year. Anyway, the original copy is already in the US, imagine? that piece of paper got to go to the US first before me, what a lucky piece of paper (haha). They did mention it was for this month's box, so I'll keep you posted if I get to see it.

Wow, so that was a short story.. hahaha so I guess I'm ending my first post here. Hopefully I can keep up with this! Wish me luck! :D
